Beyond Stone Walls: A K-8 Transdisciplinary Curriculum

Teacher's kit designed to help teach Stone Wall Secrets in the classroom.

Stone walls are the signature landforms of New England.  They provide an avenue through which children of all ages, their teachers, and their parents can explore their natural and social environment in their classrooms and beyond.

PURPOSE  --- -- An innovative, transdisciplinary curriculum

THREE DIFFERENT LEVELS

The K-8 curriculum is differentiated into three levels, but merely the scaffolding and complexity of materials in each differ.  Each grade level specific curriculum emphasizes the same essential questions and ultimate understandings across grade levels and utilizes stone walls as a catalyst for deeper exploration and inquiry

To enter any level of the curriculum, click one of these:

We emphasize Grades 3-5 because our principal teaching resource (Stone Wall Secrets) is targeted at that grade level, and because this is about the grade level when disciplines begin to differentiate unnecessarily.
